Princeton Park Playground for Kids AND Adults
New playground in Druid Hills is open for the business of delightful play
“A new playground in Druid Hills is now open for the business of delightful play. It is tucked into the quiet park surrounded by Princeton Way, a jug-handle of a street off North Decatur near Druid Hills High School. An exercise class led by neighbor Lisa Kiely watched the construction start and then stop for much of the last 18 months. DeKalb's parks maintenance director Paige Singer said the long delay between construction and opening depended on contractors repairing the too-great gap between the bottom of a slide and the rubbery floor. Now the morning exercise groups are bouncing for joy on the flexible floor.
A similar playground is planned for Emory Grove Park inside Westminster Way. Both new projects are funded by the special sales tax called SPLOST. A vote to continue the tax is expected in November.”Druid Hills Newsletter
