TRIPS

Go somewhere that changes you.

I take small groups to places that matter — curated, carefully planned, and led by someone who knows the terrain inside and out. Every morning starts with a fitness class tailored to that day's adventures. Every day is designed to go deeper than a tourist would ever get.

Right now, my heart is in Mexico. Specifically: San Miguel de Allende — a UNESCO World Heritage city of cobblestone streets, baroque architecture, extraordinary artisans, and, if the season is right, millions of monarch butterflies in the forest nearby.

Come with me. I promise it will be worth the squats.

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

Go somewhere that changes you.

I take small groups of women to places that matter — curated, carefully planned, and led by someone who knows the terrain inside and out. Every morning starts with a fitness class tailored to that day's adventures. Every day is designed to go deeper than a tourist ever gets.

Right now, my heart is in Mexico. The cobblestone streets of San Miguel de Allende. The quiet forest where millions of monarch butterflies come to rest. The lake towns of Michoacán that most people have never heard of.

These are the trips. Come with me.

San Miguel de Allende — First Look

Your introduction to one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

San Miguel de Allende is a UNESCO World Heritage city in Mexico's Central Highlands — and it is exactly as extraordinary as everyone says it is. Baroque churches. Cobblestone streets. An art scene that attracts people from all over the world. Food that surprises you. A pace that immediately tells your nervous system to slow down.

On this trip, we find our rhythm together. Morning fitness class every day — gentle, purposeful, and calibrated to what we're doing that day. Then we walk. We explore the Centro Histórico. We visit artisan workshops and the markets that locals actually shop at. We find the restaurants that don't need to advertise. We sit in the jardín at dusk and watch the city do what it does.

I've made all the mistakes in San Miguel so you don't have to. I know which neighborhoods to walk at which hour, where the best tacos are at 9am, and which shops are worth your time. That's what having me as your concierge actually means.

Small group. Morning fitness every day. Me as your guide, your coach, and the person who makes sure you come home having actually seen the place.

San Miguel de Allende — Deeper In

For those who've been once and know they need to go back.

You've been to San Miguel. You know what it does to you. You've been thinking about going back.

This trip is for you.

We skip the orientation entirely and go straight to the parts that take longer to find — the artisan studios that don't announce themselves, the day trips to smaller towns in the Bajío region that most tourists never reach, the private cooking experiences, the architecture walks that go well beyond the Parroquia. The conversations that only happen when a place starts to feel like yours.

Morning fitness class every day, calibrated to the pace we're setting. Then we go somewhere most people don't.

San Miguel rewards repetition. Every time I go back, I find something I missed. On this trip, we go back — together.

Small group. Morning fitness every day. SMA like you've never quite seen it before.

Already Coming to Mexico? Add San Miguel.

Many guests on the Michoacán retreat ask: can I see San Miguel while I'm here? The answer is — come on.

San Miguel de Allende is the natural home base for all my Mexico trips. It's where I spend significant time each year, and I know it the way you know your own city — the good parts, the hidden parts, and the parts worth sharing.

Lodging and activities in San Miguel are on your own, but I'm happy to recommend where to stay, what to do, and what to skip. Arrive a few days early, stay a few days after, or both — the city will reward every hour you give it.

Pátzcuaro & Michoacán  ·  January 26–30 or February 9–12, 2026  ·  9 guests maximum

Over 60 million monarch butterflies overwinter in the oyamel fir forests of Michoacán, Mexico. I've stood in that forest. I know what it does to people.

It's the kind of experience that stops your breath — not just from the altitude, but from the sheer improbability of what you're witnessing. Millions of wings. The sound of them. Travel: A Journey of
Self-Discovery
and Connection

As the sun sets here in San Miguel, Mexico, I am reflecting on the incredible journey that has enriched my life beyond measure—the joy of travel. For years, I had postponed my dreams of exploration, believing that it was an unattainable luxury. Little did I know that travel would not only broaden my horizons but also help me grow and become more authentically myself. Today, as an older, single person on a budget, I am here to tell you that travel is a gift accessible to anyone, regardless of age, ability or circumstances.

I embarked on my first solo adventure with a little apprehension, unsure of what the road ahead had in store for me. Yet, from the moment I set foot in an unfamiliar land, a sense of liberation washed over me. Stepping away from the routines and comforts of home has opened a world of endless possibilities. The excitement of exploring new cultures, trying new foods, and meeting fascinating people has become the fuel for my soul. Each journey I embark upon has became an opportunity for self-discovery.

Traveling as an older, single person may seem daunting, but it offers unparalleled advantages. The freedom to design your itinerary, indulge in solitary introspection, or embrace spontaneous encounters can be incredibly empowering. With life experience behind us, we embark on adventures with a heightened sense of appreciation and gratitude for the world's wonders. It's a profound reminder that age should never be a barrier to fulfilling one's dreams.

One of my most transformative travel experiences was visiting the butterfly sanctuaries in Mexico. Witnessing the ethereal beauty of thousands of butterflies taking flight was a metaphor for my own metamorphosis. Among these delicate creatures, I found solace, and in their collective dance, I discovered harmony with nature and myself. It was an encounter that imprinted itself in my soul and ignited a deep desire to share such moments with others.

It is this desire that compels me to extend an invitation to all those who seek to embark on similar journeys of self-discovery, connection, and exploration. Whether you yearn to embark on a solo adventure, experience a guided retreat to the butterfly sanctuaries, or simply desire a companion to share in the marvels of travel, I am here to be that bridge to your dreams.

Through careful planning and mindful budgeting, I have found that travel need not break the bank. There are countless ways to find affordable accommodations, flights, and experiences. From charming hostels to homestays and local transportation, we can curate an itinerary that meets your financial boundaries without compromising on the essence of the journey.

So, if you are seeking a transformative experience that rejuvenates your spirit, connects you to new cultures, and fosters personal growth, reach out to me. Let us embark on a journey of a lifetime together—one that will not only let us witness the world's beauty but also unlock the beauty within ourselves.

Travel, at its core, is a celebration of life, an embrace of the unknown, and an opportunity to find the missing pieces of our souls scattered across the globe. Let us take flight together and revel in the joy of wanderlust. Contact me today, and let's create memories that will forever resonate in our hearts.

Monarch Sanctuaries

I traveled to Mexico in January, ‘22 and spent 5 days in the Sierra Madre mountains watching the Monarch butterflies emerge from their over-wintering spots.  The awe and wonder of such a spectacle inspired me to share the Monarch’s story in a more meaningful way (Milkweed for Monarchs) and to arrange for a group retreat/adventure/visit at the Monarch Sanctuaries in Mexico late January 2024.

Please email me if you are interested in more information.

Eco Adventure Trips

Would you like to travel to a magical place to better yourself? I recently participated in a trip to Belize where I led yoga classes on the island of Tobacco Cay. It was such a magical time and place. You can click here to see the informational flyer as an example for future trips. Daycations

I’ve found that trying something new, can be difficult but it can also be exhilarating and liberating. I’m learning to embrace my mistakes; learning to be patient with myself. Stepping out of my comfort zone fosters personal growth, self-confidence, pride, and a sense of accomplishment.
