Meet Our Guide: Alfredo Landeros

Alfredo has been sharing the beauty of Mexico’s history and culture for more than 20 years. He began his journey at age 16, working as a driver for The ProMotion of Mexican Culture, where he met travelers from all over the world and perfected his English by listening to diverse accents and stories.

Inspired by these early experiences, Alfredo trained as a certified tour guide, passionate about opening doors to Mexico’s rich heritage. Along the way, he also spent 15 years with Celebrations San Miguel, a wedding planning company, where he mastered the art of hospitality and making visitors feel at home.

In 2015, Alfredo returned fully to his first love—guiding. He has since led walking tours, day trips, and cultural journeys across Mexico, from Guadalajara to Puebla, Mexico City, and beyond. Even after the challenges of the pandemic, Alfredo’s enthusiasm never wavered. By 2022, he was back to leading tours with renewed passion, grateful to share the wonders of his country once again.

Today, Alfredo is not just a guide—he is a storyteller, cultural ambassador, and proud son of Mexico. His deep love for family, traditions, and history shines through in every experience he creates.

We are honored to have Alfredo as our guide for the Friends & Family Mexico Mini-Retreat. He will help us explore the monarch sanctuaries, lakes, markets, and cultural gems of Michoacán with warmth, knowledge, and humor.
